Winter Weather

December 7, 2018

There are predictions of snow later this weekend.  We will probably be home this Sunday enjoying a “Snow Day”.  As a retired teacher those words were always welcoming.

This morning, in the market, people were stocking up their carts with food and wine and beer.  At least I know the wine part is covered. I look forward to smelling a Boeuf Bourguignon on the stove and an Apple Tart for dessert.  Provencia and Vin D’Orange sound good with these.

There are few leaves on the vines in the vineyard and Michael has begun the pruning process.  The way the vineyard looks now is just as beautiful as with leaves and grapes.  Every season in the vineyard has its own charm.  There is so much growth during the summer months and all of the newer growth needs to be removed- getting a haircut, I like to say.

Last Friday evening we had our Annual Wine Club Holiday Dinner. Over 125 people enjoyed time in The Studio visiting with old friends and meeting new ones.  We have had some in our club for over 10 years.  That is not a normal statistic, but we are glad they continue to support us.

As we get ready for some winter weather we hope you will all be safe, keep warm, and enjoy a bottle of your favorite Hanover Park wine over the next few days!
