Wine Festivals

Tomorrow will be our first wine festival of the season.  The list begins: which wines to bring, the tents, the tables, the tablecloths, the banners, and numerous other items for a day away from the winery.  This is our home away from home, a small 10′ x 20′ area where we talk about Hanover Park, share our wines and sell wine.  So many people walk by, stop and taste and visit.  Some have never tasted our wine before, some are old friends.  Again, hospitality, knowledge and fun all play a… Read More

Not a bad plan.  Then slowly more people came in.  Some to pick up their wine club selections and enjoy a glass and visit. We recently put a “Vintage Rack” in the Craft Room. Red wines from… Read More

Wine and Glass

We love our red wine and enjoy drinking it out of a nice glass.  We have learned so much about wine over the years, when to pair it with certain foods and when to just sit and enjoy.  We often say we are not wine snobs but wine glass snobs.  Yes, they do make a difference, and yes it is so much fun to do the testing. We recently bottled our new vintage of Mourvedre.  Michael brought home a bottle, I prepared lamb and took out the Riedel Old World… Read More
