Veraison

July 13, 2018 Yesterday as Pearl and I were walking in the vineyard before heading home we came upon the start of version in the Syrah.  This is when the grapes start to ripen and turn from green to red.  Syrah is usually the first to begin this process.  They are a long slender bunch which will turn quite dark.  The wine produced will eventually get blended with our Mourvedre. Eighteen Years

June 29, 2018 Eighteen years ago there were 10 wineries in the state of North Carolina.  Most made sweet and fruit wines; a few produced dry wines.  We had already been through one harvest and looking forward to our second.  July 1, 2000 we opened our gate and our first visitors came in. Visitors

June 8, 2018 Every week is different.  We know many visitors who walk through our doors and we also enjoy meeting new people all the time.  Yesterday afternoon we had a group of 30 people for a wine tasting in our back room.  It is always nice to share our wines and our story. On becoming a Riedel Ambassador
